Program Overview

The Department of Performing Arts offers an integrated three-year undergraduate program with specializations in Dance, Music, and Theatre. Rooted in the living traditions of Rajasthan and connected to global creative practices, the program combines rigorous practical training with critical and theoretical study. Students engage with classical and regional art forms alongside contemporary, experimental, and interdisciplinary approaches, preparing them for diverse professional and academic pathways in the arts.

  • For all eligible girl candidates enrolling in the 2026-27 academic session will receive an additional 5% scholarship in first year only.
  • 100% Scholarship for the program on tuition fee ( only in first year).

Scholarship Award and Criteria

  • The scholarship is granted based on the tuition fee
  • Scholarships are determined based on the aggregate marks of the best five subjects.
  • If the percentage has already been calculated by the board & mentioned on the marksheet, that will be considered and there will be no opportunity to recalculate using the best five subjects
  • Awarded to 2025 & 2026 (10+2) pass-out students only

Eligibility and Restrictions

  • Students with a compartment in 12th are ineligible for UG program scholarships, even with provisional admission
  • Each student can receive only one scholarship at a time.
  • No changes to scholarship category are allowed during the same or later years of the program
  • It is not possible to change the type of scholarship/ category

Scholarship Continuation Criteria

  • Continuation is based on the SGPA of the previous year (Theory Papers Only)
  • Backlogs in the previous year lead to scholarship discontinuation for all upcoming years.
  • Once discontinued, a scholarship will not be reinstated during the remaining duration of the program.

Poornima University Presidents' Scholarship

Maximum 5 students from each Village as per the merit list with minimum 60% marks in 12th/ UG and did schooling from the same village.
Children of Martyrs & Gallantry Award Winners 100% on Tuition Fee Scholarship is given on tuition fee only; this benefit is provided to the ward of Martyr who has served in the defence. Gallantry Awards would be provided to the winners Param Vir Chakra, Mahavir Chakra, Vir Chakra, Ashok Chakra, Kirti Chakra and Shaurya Chakra, This scholarship would be applicable for all the years of course duration, Once opted this scholarship model, can not be changed in the later years of the program
Spouse/ Children of Faculty & Staff of Poornima, JIET Group (Jodhpur) & Medipulse Hospital 50% of Tuition Fee Scholarship is given on tuition fee only , This scholarship would be awarded to all the eligible students for admission and for all the years of course duration, Once opted this scholarship model, can not be changed in the later years of the program
Children of Defence Personnel and Working Defence Personnels 50% of Tuition Fee Scholarship is given on tuition fee only , This benefit is provided to the ward of Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force, who has served or serving in the defence, This scholarship would be applicable for all the years of course duration, Once opted this scholarship model, can not be changed in the later years of the program
Spouse/ Sibling of Student/ Alumni of Poornima & JIET Group 25% of Tuition Fee Scholarship is given on tuition fee only , This scholarship would be awarded to all the eligible students for admission and for all the years of course duration, Once opted this scholarship model, can not be changed in the later years of the program
Alumni of Poornima & JIET Group 25% of Tuition Fee Scholarship is given on tuition fee only , This scholarship would be awarded to all the eligible staff members for all the years of course duration, Applicable only for Ph.D programs
Poornima University Education and Academic Reward for Ladies of Rajasthan Royals foundation (PEARLs of RRF) 100% on Tuition & Development Fee Scholarship is given on tuition fee only , This scholarship would be awarded to all the eligible students for admission and for all the years of course duration, Once opted this scholarship model, can not be changed in the later years of the program

Award of Scholarship:

  • Awarded on tuition fee only (Except Poornima University Gramin Shiksha Yojna)
  • Awarded to all eligible students for admission and throughout the entire program duration

Poornima University Gramin Shiksha Yojna:

  • Scholarship covers tuition and development fees
  • Adopted Gram Panchayats: Beelwa, Ashawala, Vidhani, Bari ka Bas, Shree Ram Ki Nangal, and Chandlai
  • Maximum 5 students from each village based on the merit list
  • Minimum 60% marks in 12th is required.
  • Schooling must be from the same village

Scholarship Continuity:

  • The type of scholarship or category cannot be changed in the future
  • Students receive the same scholarship type in future years, meeting the requirements

Scholarship for Children of Defence Personnel and Working Defence Personnel:

  • Applicable to wards of Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Force personnel
  • Open to those who have served or are currently serving in the defence forces

Key Notes:

  • Scholarship is given on tuition fee only
  • For sports Scholarship Certificate dated on or after 1 January 2023 will be considered
  • To avail sports scholarship the students have to undergo a trial of related sport at Poornima University campus under supervision of Office of Associate Dean, Hostel and Sports (2nd Saturday of June, July & August month)
  • A Student is eligible to avail sports scholarship only if selected in trials at Poornima University
  • Certificate required from recognized sports Federation /Associations/ SGFI (School games federation of India)
  • Recognition of Sports federation/association etc. will be at the sole discretion of the scholarship selection committee of Poornima University for the academic session
  • Valid supporting documents are required to submit to avail this Scholarship

Scholarship Continuation in next years :

  • The scholarship will be calculated on basis of certification achieved in similar sport in previous year
  • Students need to maintain the regular training regime in the University Campus
  • If a student is found irregular in the training sessions of the respective sport (minimum 70% attendance required), in that case the scholarship will be discontinued
