Masters of Design (M.Des.) in Interior Design
Reaching career heights is the ultimate aim of every ambitious professional and Master of Design is one of the degrees that helps in specialisation and advancing skills for a career in Design field. Pursuing a master degree in Design is possible only if you have completed a bachelor degree in relevant stream. Master of design or M.Des is a postgraduate degree program of 2 years and is specially pursued by those having keen interest in the artistic field. Master of design in India consists of 4 semesters. The students study various major and minor courses in the field of User Experience & Interaction Design, Industrial Design, and Visual Communication, etc. for three semesters, whereas in the last semester every student is required to present industrial dissertation.
A Master of Design degree is the gateway to specialise and research as it an advanced degree to conquer Fashion and Design Industry in different disciplines such as Craft, Textiles, Special Needs, Publications, Media, Lifestyle Products, Graphics and User Experience Design. The degree is open to students from various streams such as Fashion, Designing, Fine Arts, Engineering, Commerce, Science and Architecture. However, you should have a basic understanding of relevant design stream which you want to pursue through Master of Design
The basic eligibility criteria to pursue this course is to have a qualifying graduate degree in Design/Architecture/ Interior design/ Fine arts or in any stream with at least 50% marks from a recognized university.
